1. Material Characteristics

(1)Ni200 Nickel Wire Mesh(Ni200=N6, Ni Content>99.6% )

    • High Purity: Ni200 belongs to commercially pure nickel, with a nickel content of ≥99.6%. It has a low impurity content, which endows it with good chemical stability and physical properties.
    • Corrosion Resistance: It has excellent corrosion resistance to caustic soda and other alkalis, and also shows stability in seawater, salt solutions, and many organic media, making it suitable for various corrosive environments.
    • Good Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: The high-purity nickel gives Ni200 excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, making it perform well in electrical and heat exchange applications.
    • Mechanical Properties: It has good mechanical properties and workability, including high strength, toughness, and ductility. It can withstand a certain degree of deformation without breaking and is easy to perform processing operations such as bending, stretching, and stamping.

      • Low Carbon Content: Compared with Ni200, the main feature of Ni201 is its low carbon content, generally not exceeding 0.15%. This gives it better performance stability in high-temperature environments, reducing the possibility of carbide precipitation, thus improving the material’s creep resistance and thermal fatigue resistance.
      • Corrosion Resistance: It also has excellent corrosion resistance, with good tolerance to various corrosive media such as acid, alkali, and salt solutions, and can maintain stable performance in harsh chemical environments.
      • High-Temperature Performance: Due to its low carbon content, Ni201 has good strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures and can be used for a long time at higher temperatures, making it suitable for some occasions with high requirements for high-temperature performance, such as aerospace, chemical industry, and other fields.

2. Specification Parameters

  • Mesh Count(the number of mesh holes per inch in length):1-400 mesh.   Common mesh counts include 20 mesh, 50 mesh, 60 mesh, 70 mesh, 80 mesh, 100 mesh, 120 mesh, 150 mesh, 200 mesh, 250 mesh, 300 mesh, 350 mesh, 365 mesh, 363 mesh etc.  The higher the mesh count, the smaller the mesh holes and the higher the filtration accuracy.
  • Wire Diameter: The wire diameter range is usually between 0.025mm and 5.00 mm, i   ncluding various specifications such as0.025mm, 0.028mm,  0.03mm, 0.035mm, 0.04mm, 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.08mm, 0.10mm, 0.12mm, 0.15mm, 0.2mm, 0.35mm, 0.50mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, …5.0mm etc. Different wire diameters determine the strength, flexibility, and filtration performance of the wire mesh.

3. Application Fields

  • Filtration Field: It is used for the filtration of various liquids and gases, such as raw material filtration, product filtration, and wastewater treatment in industries such as chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage. It can effectively remove impurities, particles, and suspended solids to ensure product quality and the smooth progress of the production process.
  • Battery Industry: As a carrier for battery electrode materials or a separator material, it helps to improve the performance and stability of the battery. For example, it plays the roles of conducting electricity, separating electrodes, and preventing short circuits in nickel-metal hydride batteries, lithium-ion batteries, etc.
  • Electronics and Electrical Field: Due to its good electrical conductivity and electromagnetic shielding performance, it can be used to manufacture electronic components, shielding layers of wires and cables, electromagnetic shielding enclosures, etc., to prevent electromagnetic interference and signal leakage.

4. Processing Technology

  • Weaving Process: Usually, plain weave, twill weave, or leno weave and other methods are adopted to interweave nickel wires into a mesh structure. Different weaving methods will affect the strength, porosity, and filtration performance of the wire mesh.
  • Welding Process: For some nickel wire meshes that require a large size or a special shape, the welding process may be used to splice small pieces of wire mesh together to meet the usage requirements.
  • Surface Treatment Process: In order to improve the performance and service life of the nickel wire mesh, some surface treatments may be carried out, such as electroplating, spraying, passivation, etc., to enhance its corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or other special properties.
